Golf Where the Pros Play

There is such a raw artistic beauty about the way a game of golf is played. You have the challenge of the Mother Nature and the elements, the position of the ball, the arch of your swing, and the power of your stroke. Many golf professionals have mastered the art of incorporating all of these qualities into a solid game. There are many different courses the pros play for different reasons. These are a few of the courses that golf professionals favor.

Pebble Beach Links in California is known for its magnificent Oceanside view, difficult holes and unpredictable weather, making it a course that professionals find a challenge to play but love playing. A few years ago, storms damaged a couple of holes on the course, but this didn’t keep folks away too long. A sea wall was eventually installed to keep the shore at bay. Pebble Beach features a broad selection of fine restaurants, shops, resorts, and spas. Many of the top seeded golfers name Pebble Beach as one of their favorite courses.

North Carolina features Pinehurst. Rich in tradition and history, this beautiful resort and world class golf course has been a top draw for professionals and amateur golf aficionados alike. Gently tucked away in the heavily wooded areas of North Carolina, Pinehurst has been the home to the U.S open and many other heralded golf events. The world famous Jimmy V golf classic is played here every year in honor of the late North Carolina State University basketball coach, Jim Valvano, who passed away from cancer, to raise money for the disease and its awareness . People from golf fans to touring professionals fall upon this quaint little town every year for one of the many major golf events it hosts.

One of the country's most famous courses is in Augusta, Georgia. The Augusta National Golf Club is where the pros descend every year to see who the best of the best is. This is where The Masters tournament is played every spring. The pros compete for their right to wear the coveted green sport coat. Sleepy Augusta is filled with great restaurants, shops, and high quality lodging and features a number of other fine golf courses as well.
